Audio set Ionic Sound System je sestava designových reproduktorů, dvou satelitů a aktivního subwooferu, určená především pro domácí či kancelářské interiéry, které nechají vyniknout nejen zvukovou, ale i estetickou kvalitu reproduktorů. Pískové ozvučnice reproduktorů jsou vyrobeny aditivní technologií z jednoho kusu, jejich vzhled a akustické vlastnosti, tak nenarušují žádné viditelné spoje či šrouby. Audio set je navržen a optimalizován tak, aby i při velmi kompaktních rozměrech jednotlivých reproduktorů dosahoval maximálního možného akustického výkonu. Celkový výkon sestavy je tak v běžném provozu dostatečný i pro místnosti do zhruba 40m2. Veškeré komponenty audio systému, včetně ovládacích prvků, nožiček a konektorů jsou vyrobené dle návrhů studia DEEPTIME.

To, co činí Ionic Sound System opravdu jedinečným, je netradiční využití technologie průmyslového 3D tisku z písku, takzvaného sandprintu. Tato technologie aditivní výroby, byla vyvinuta především pro tisk forem a jader pro odlévání kovů. Studio DEEPTIME vyvinulo technologický postup, který velmi křehké tištěné polotovary promění kombinací na míru vyvinutých tvrdidel a barev ve velmi odolný a trvanlivý produkt. Materiál, který vlastnostmi i vzhledem připomíná kámen, má velmi příznivé akustické vlastnosti, což ve spojení s technologií 3D tisku otevírá studiu možnost navrhovat a vyrábět ozvučnice reproduktorů téměř bez omezení složitosti a variability tvarů či velikostí. Zkušenosti obou designeru s vývojem hardware umožnily studiu vyvinout vlastní unikátní elektroniku, díky které je možné audio systém připojit optickými či analogovými vstupy nebo přes Bluetooth rozhraní s podporou nejkvalitnějších kodeků aptX & AAC audio.  

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION   IONIC SOUND SYSTEM   The first audio system 3D printed from sand Limited edition of 1618 sets.   The Ionic Sound System is a 2.1. system, consisting of two Spirula speakers, Thunderstone subwoofer and a pair of exclusive audio cables. The Ionic Sound System needs no setting and no special app. Just connect your smartphone, tablet, laptop, PC or TV via Bluetooth and play any music you like.   THUNDERSTONE SUBWOOFER   The Thunderstone delivers incredible power in a compact form. Through a holistic design process, we’ve arrived at the most efficient driver, shape and overall proportions for a pristine and rich bass sound. The shape is inspired by the fossils of black sea urchins, with the height and diameter in the golden ratio.   Mimicking deep-sea bioluminescent creatures, each bass port also contains an LED light source. A subtle amber light indicates when the subwoofer is plugged in and gently brightens as the volume increases.   The trilateral symmetry is a crucial part of the design. The shape allows for three bass ports. The advantage of multiple ports is partly in the reduced size of the individual ports, each 1.618 inches in diameter.   A trident of round tipped spikes carries the weight of Thunderstone. Their purpose is to minimize the area the speaker touches. The less contact the subwoofer has with the surface below, the fewer vibrations pass between the two.   The Thunderstone subwoofer carries a 5.75” high-end driver with a balanced drive motor structure for optimal drive force symmetry resulting in largely reduced even order harmonic distortion. The driver has a large linear stroke, ensuring low distortion at high output levels. Both rigid paper cones and steel chassis with extensive venting reduce audible distortion even at high levels. Driver’s heavy-duty fibreglass voice coil former reduces mechanical losses resulting in better dynamic performance and low-level details.   SPIRULA SPEAKERS   It’s obvious that the Spirula speakers are no ordinary loudspeakers, even before you listen to it. The design uses drivers loaded by reverse-tapered horns, or exponentially diminishing tubes, to absorb the rear radiation.   The versatile 3” full range driver uses an underhung voice coil, which places the entire coil inside the magnetic gap, for the utmost in control and accuracy. Designed for minimum distortion and resonance, the bamboo fibre paper cone and structured surround produce a smooth response without harsh peaks or dips. The aluminium phase plug improves off-axis response while also acting as a shorting ring providing greater control of the voice coil resulting in lower distortion.   The Spirula speakers don’t require a speaker stands. When placed next to your computer, laptop or TV screen, the slightly angled speaker driver is designed to aim to your ear directly.   CABLES   At Deeptime we feel the speaker cables are the most important accessory. Building a good one is a real challenge because a speaker cable must provide excellent transmission of the low frequencies while preserving the subtle essences of the mid and high frequencies that make a recording sound authentic to the original performance. Apart from their transmission, Deeptime put a lot of attention to their visual appearance. Therefore we developed our own audio cables that satisfy customer’s quality and appearance expectation.   External audio cables are manufactured from a twisted pair - silicon insulated wires covered in a braided sleeve, and each terminated with a 4mm banana plug. The conductor is made from pure, oxygen-free copper and consisting of very fine 256 strands 0.05mm dia each, which with silicon insulation together gives this cable outstanding flexibility properties. Manufacturer of this wire is renowned Swiss company Stäubli, mainly known for their mechatronics products.    Each cable is handmade using only hand-operated tools to achieve the best quality possible and tested on modern cable tester for shorts, wire and insulation resistance, dielectric failures and overcurrent
